You could argue over its simplicity, but at the end of the day this feels so much fresher than anything BBC One has churned out for a long time.

I would like to see ident or string examples of the other channels with this rebrand and not just bbc one.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the idents and stings you made for this rebrand of bbc one and the schedule, but I would really like to see other examples from the other channels.

It's been a while since I posted anything to this post, but I decided to create a junction for how the idents and stings could go into play. The idents would be the personality '1' stings I had posted earlier, but extended for ident use.
I also created an ECP and end board, to demonstrate how it could work.
I am planning on doing other BBC channels soon, but BBC1 has been my main focus for this rebrand.

Understandable, But after seeing your junction example, it does pop up an idea for this rebrand.
Shouldn't the endboard be having the one have the ad footage while the information pops up similar to the 2007 bbc two rebrand? That would make it look cleaner and less like powerpoint as some people are claiming.

Sorry for the long response, I almost forgot I had this thread still around.
I decided to create some animations for the 4 main channels. This is basically to help me do the animations for some of the promoboards, as ccateni requests, so that the logos don't feel a bit lifeless when in still motion. I'll create some concept promos later on, and with summer break approaching, that shouldn't be that difficult.

The logo animations are great! The three made need some work, but its a great concept for a rebranding of the bbc channels.

So this is my idea for BBC3. While BBC Three isn't a broadcast channel anymore, it sort of shows what could possibly happen had BBC brought the channel back after realizing that online isn't giving them enough viewership.

The problem is the logos themselves I think. The BBC 3 one is incredibly boring. It's a standard 3 in a box and tilted to the side. What does that say about the channel? What makes that logo unique to make it stand out amongst others? Also, the way it moves in the box just screams "powerpoint". The same can be said for BBC 1's logo as well, why that logo/shape/style? Why is the BBC 2 curve being stretched horizontally in it's logo? Why does the BBC 4 and BBC Arts logos look almost identical? Wouldn't that be confusing for the viewer?
I get what you're going for, it's the way the BBC seems to be going with their rebrands, but your concept needs a lot more refinement.

I was saying that the II! icon should stay as that's become a symbol of the new BBC Three really. If they were to rebrand the BBC, they'd obviously keep the II! logo

I'm wondering. What would an ident look like from a regional point? E.g, Yorkshire, Northwest, Channel Islands, etc.

The name of the region always looks like an ugly afterthought. I’d go without.
