Try the yellow you were already using and either black or white. The other colours seem too Powerpointy

Not too sure how a colour can 'seem PowerPointy' but I do agree with the notion that black and yellow would be an improvement on your current yellow and grey colouring for BBC Sport in terms of legibility.

Good point. Well, I've just tried yellow again, but changing the BBC text to black. Is this any better?

That looks.nicer but mabey try a colour halfway between the gold from your list of ideas and you original yellow

Good idea! I've tried to pull off a yellow-gold color scheme, in two versions, dependent on opinion: one with black BBC Text and one with a white one (so it isn't the black sheep of the bunch):

If every other logo has white text, then why should this logo be any different? White text clearly.

You say that as if real life follows suit. I think for uniform sake, the white but i don’t know how it would work in terms of actual presentation but maybe that’s just because I’m used to the black and yellow branding.

Yeah, for stuff like icons and all, I'm still figuring out what a worthy backdrop could be. I might be doing a 2D, Sportsday-esque style for on-screen stuff, but I'm figuring out whether to do a navy blue or grey color scheme.

White

Right, white text it is. Smile

Sports stuff aside, I've just done endboards for the remaining three channels. They each have the same animations as BBC One's, but they are each different in pattern and color. BBC Two's is the current curve "2", BBC Three's is a diamond (note: during the transition, the BBC Three logo slides upward to make way for the iPlayer logo), an BBC Four's is a rectangle.

BBC Scotland isn't left out either.

*

The kids channels are also in the mix! While CBBC's is a slightly fresh take, CBeebies's endboard is a bit of a rehash of the previous thread's final CBeebies incarnation (with a few tweaks) - as I said earlier, I'd be recycling positive aspects of the previous mock, and this is quite an example.

Well, Sports-wise, that's one flaw outta the way. Endboards-wise, opinions are welcome! Smile

I think your end board we’re fantastic in the other mock - I’d love to see them wrapped into here on the new logo

The Enboards look fantastic especially the BBC2 and Scotland ones. The iPlayer logo does still look odd having the IP in a different width to the layer

Understandable. I might look at a few ideas for it, then.

Regarding black text/white text on the blocks - wouldn't it make more sense for the lettering just to be transparent? It seems that way on your Two, Three, Four, Scotland and CBBC endboards, but CBeebies and BBC Sport have coloured text?

It mostly is. (but primarily in onscreen stuff)
