Does anybody know what Colour hexes the BBC and Sky tend to use (or have used over the years) for the parties when presenting their exit polls in UK General Elections?

I’m not too sure, however I wouldn’t rule out them simply picking the colour from the party logo.

In terms of differences in colour between BBC and Sky, there aren’t any particularly noticeable ones, apart from the colour used for Independents (BBC uses a pinkish, Sky uses grey).

As you can see the website coding includes some redundancies.

The BBC colours are not identical to those used by the political parties, but are generally close. At each election (local and general) they are usually refreshed with a few alterations - the last wholesale change was in 2014. Some parties, particularly Plaid Cymru, seem to change at every single election.

Plaid Cymru's colours over the years:
336600 - 2005
006600 - 2010-2013
4E9F2F - 2014-2015
FFD03E - 2016
028948 - 2017 (Locals)
53B480 - 2017 (General)
159B78 - 2018-2019 (Locals and European)
13E594 - 2019 (General)
