Original BBC1 'Tumbler' ident

Reading from a few old forum posts here and on TV Room, it seems like the original 'Tumblers' ident out of the dancers set, was cut to a nicer soundtrack then the one that exists on the copies online but had to be changed due to legal reasons.

Despite that, it apparently never changed in Scotland. I know there was a copy of it posted here back when it was first broadcast and on TV/Radio Bits, so I presume someone has a copy lying around on a hard drive somewhere. Cheers.

At the time it was supposedly because of copyright, but I’ve always thought it was more likely because the first version didn’t incorporate the BBC One musical motif of the time (as far as I can hear anyway)

The motif isn't as clear as in the second version, but it's definitely there.

The original music did sound uncannily similar to this track though...

Always liked the original tune more than the replacement... Was nice that Scotland kept it until the end of the look.

While it's not all there, I did throw together a clean version of the track from some of those playouts at the time:
