Good afternoon.

Hoping someone on this fab site can give me any information/ guidance on where i can find the composer and or copy's of the Auction World.TV music and also the iBuy.TV music?

If memory serves me correctly, Auction World & iBuy TV were owned by the same company so its possible both theme packages may have composed by the same person/ music company.

This has turned into a never ending search from 2004 to the present day. I've finally decided to ask you all to see if any of you can help me out.

The music i'm after is the 'Going Once, Going Twice, Going Three Times' versions for AW as well as the Clock Music if they still exist and also the iBuy Drop music which was very Ibiza/ dance esq.

If you have info regarding this query, please get in touch.

All the best,

Cameron.

AW and iBuy were not owned by the same company.

I got in touch with a guy that worked at AW last year; he was able to send me one of the Christmas mixes of the clock music - but he had nothing else unluckily; and he didn't know who composed the tracks either.

Christmas Clock music: http://www.dazusu.com/christmas-clock.wav

Your best bet would be to find Andy Sheldon's website, and reach out to him - and hope that he gets back to you. He was responsible for commissioning the music at both companies. If he doesn't know who did it (or plays dumb) you're **** outta luck!

Hey there!

Thanks so much for the reply and for the Christmas Clock music!

Yes, i've already contacted Mr Sheldon who told me he didn't know who did the music. So it looks like i'm screwed with this one. Really sad as it is good music.

Thanks,

Cameron.

One of the sound designers who used to work on Auction World.TV was called Simon Livingstone, he also did the music for Chase-It.tv, if you c an find a contact for him; he might be able to help you out too. He used to run Mixfactory.net, but that went defunct in like 2007.

And tell me about it; I'm still trying to get Rocks&Co music -- and they still use on it air. I'm pretty sure the guy who composed it died in a tragic accient; and Rocks&Co aren't playing ball *shakes fist*

Why would contact the PRS? The logs and everything must be kept up to date.

Hi again,

I've already looked for him lol. I was told by someone before about him but his records online have been removed. Damn!! Andy Sheldon's reply was that t was so long ago that he can't remember who did the music.

Hi 623058!

Would PRS have the information though? The last time the AW music was aired is 2004 and the iBuy was last used was 2005?

What would i ask PRS for? I've never dealt with them before.

Thanks for all the replies Smile

It was PRS who told me who the various bid composers were over the years. They will likely still have the information and may release it; but phrase your questions to them concisely.

Oh - OK.

What do i say to them and how do i contact? Via e-mail?

Thank you,

Cameron.

All music tracks are registered with the PRS so royalties can be paid - even specially composed tracks.

Records contain composer, publisher etc which all go on returns and there's an online PRS database for searching - but you need be registered to access it.

Hi Peterrocket.

Wow, i didn't even know you could access all this info.

I will do this today.. How do i register? Is there a cost to it?

Thanks in advance,

Cam.

General public can't get access to this database, it's best e-mailing them with a special request - more often than not they will look it up for you and report back. Let them know the music you're trying to identify is from a TV channel that went defunct almost a decade ago and you have no other way of identifying the composer; also make sure you can give them a rough date of the last time the music was used.

Didn't get much luck myself when I tried every avenue I could think of to get hold of R&C's music. I've got some REALLY low-quality TV rips which a friend did from R&C (as well as a few other channels). I've dumped them all here if any of you are interested in downloading.

Nothing from iBuy/Auction-World.TV unfortunately, but hopefully someone will be able to crack it one day.
