BBC News Ideas

I've tried to blend the 1999 Cream look in with the current graphics set and came up with these recreations. Not really sure why I did these, but these are just some ideas I had over the weekend. I might work on some titles in the next few days.

I know I'm not the world's best mocker, but constructive criticism is welcome.

Everything looks a bit too small. Nothing really stands out or tells you that you're watching BBC News. The BBC logo could mean anything. I was never fond of the yellowish colour used on the graphics, even on-screen, or the pink colour you've used with the BBC logo.

Perhaps you could increase the size of the font and put emphasis on the logo, time, ticker and straps so you can see things further away from the television. Make Breaking News stand out.

Generally, enlarge everything.
