I watched it when it first went out and thought it was a bit rubbish, but a mate was telling me how much better it got. The couple of episodes I've watched this series were much better.

Yep, Taskmaster is a fantastic show. Seems to have been a success too, this is series 4 showing now and it and series 5 were commissioned as 8 partners. An American version was recently announced, with Alex Horne and Reggie Watts presenting: http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2017/04/18/36213/taskmaster_gets_a_us_remake

And Alex is also developing a primetime show for BBC1 in a similar style, which sounds very exciting.

The new Go 8 Bit spin-off DLC is well worth a watch, too, not least because it's clearly filmed in a living room, and they don't try and disguise that.

This thread is slowly becoming a repeat of the TV-am twitter account which is always coming up with some gems.

Anyway here's a prop that hasn't been used for 25 years...

Wacaday is probably the gift that keeps on giving for Timmy Mallett as he can still do with it now what he was doing in the 1980s/early 1990s. Apparently university student gigs are where he's at now in between stage and theatre work and I think he told some TV "best of" type programme somewhere the students want it how they saw it on TV all those years ago. Not bad going if you get it.

Actually going back through the TV-AM Twitter feed, I'm surprised at the amount of promotional stuff that the company made or had made. I don't know how old some of it is but if its from the early years it may hardly be surprising the company struggled to make any money.

But that being said, it may entirely be normal to plaster the TV company's logo on anything and everything for promotional purposes. I don't know, what I know about running a TV company can fit on the back of a postage stamp...

Surely Timmy isn't still doing Uni gigs - even when I started Uni in 2008, none of my age group would have remembered him as Wacaday ended when I was four. It's probably the likes of Dick & Dom now.

Indeed, scarily the 18 year olds of today were born in 1999, that's 6 years after TVam went off air

Well there are plenty of mature students at Uni these days so its entirely plausible (just) that the option may be there but I suppose that ship has mostly sailed. Apparently he also does corporate events now, which may the exact same audience he performed to when they were at Uni! Very Happy
