A very nice STV close-down from 23 August 1986. wonderful to see, BIG clue as to how I know the date of this close down Wink Laughing

Is it me, or is the background music on the Sunday line-up, the 'This Morning' theme?

I think it's just very similar... it's got the same bridge but the rest is different.

We been here before, and nofurther forward. David pringle the composer of this morning was musical director for stv from 82-92. The chances are also did that piece.

More than likely he was asked to redevelop that theme tune into something This Morning could use.

I was told, he and a few other pitched idea to Granada, and well as you can take it Granada picked David tune.

I bet he just re-tweaked that piece, believing who in Granada-land would have heard it Laughing

What a superbly faithfully done advert for Pizza Hut (just added to TV Ark) that is!

The real 'Paint' ident (sans BBC logo of course), with a spoof of 'Blade', and another spoof 'Powder'! Great advert for any TV pres fan.

Who would have given them the rights to do that? Lambie Nairn? It seems strange that the BBC would allow a recognisable BBC brand to be used by a commercial company in such a way.

You've obviously not seen the Weetabix adverts then....

Got to mention this:

Almost seven minutes of regional adverts from Channel TV, most of them slide scanner jobs and a whole bunch of them essentially Christmas greetings from businesses in the island. Just magnificent.

After seeing a newly added weather forecast from the 1960s, and I apologise if this answer is blatantly obvious to some, but how are these clips captured? Surely home recording equipment back then was sparse and expensive.

Small minimal update but the What's New page has been updated with a few filtering options, information on who did an update and an insight into TV Ark's status as basically a one man job these days. More contributors required maybe?

Hayden Walker does control a good number of pages, but I get the feeling he has been uploading other clips which he also founds. Half the problems is If there is no new tapes then of course.....

So maybe a request for new videos clips. Im sure TV ARK interactive could have helped fill this request. I have notice that good amount of clips, promos, adverts, idents still missing. So maybe we could make a list to see if anyone can fill in the gaps?

Hayden has done a good job of capturing up a lot of material over the past year or so, a lot of tapes that get offered to the team end up with him at the moment.
