BBC News Site

I am currently working on a BBC News site. This will (hopefuly) go up in January. i thought i would give the forum members a sneek preview. Don't worry i know it looks crap but i am working on a new design. could anybody recommend an animation program to use for my website graphics. There will be video avalible to download and inside stories on presentation.

For animation, you could try Macromedia Flash.

Nooo!!!!

If your "animations" in the past are anything to go by, then I would dread to imagine what your site would be like. And anyway, you do not need animations for your website graphics. Use static images instead, or even better, use CSS for things like colour rollover backgrounds for text navigation, instead of a javascript which switches over images.


It costs lots of £££'s and you can buy it at all good retailers.

OK BBCTVCentre. I will take your point and won't use animations on my site. If anybody could reccomend website extras please post them on this forum. I am changing my site design as i speek. It will probely change 100 times until it launches! Thanks for the advice. I will keep you updated with news on my site.

Are you planning to purchase your own domain for this site or are you going to use a free service such as geocities, lycos etc.?

My website has now been delayed due to MrTomServo blocking me from using the File Upload system and preventing me from PMing.
