That is indeed Stings wife in HD from the remastered versions.

Here's a random screenshot from the first episode, which has the 'HD' label. There are a couple that don't have the label which do look worse.

Yes - that definitely looks like the HD version, a world away from the original 1980s PAL transfers, with their classic "BBC 80s film look"

Using Developer Options on the Firestick, S1 and S2 are Full HD, the specials are in SD.

Oh god. The last "proper" episode of OFAH has Helen Reddy's cover version of "Our House" instead of the Crosby Stills Nash & Young version.

One day I wish someone would just knuckle down, pay the licensing fees and we could enjoy Only Fools in its original form instead of being ripped to pieces.

EDIT: Classic Who - the Five Doctors print is the original issue rather than the remastered, polished version.

This definitely seems to be an advantage with Nighty Night being on iPlayer, the soundtrack is exactly as it was when broadcast. I've heard three different versions of the funeral scene but given that its choreographed to Alone by Heart, that is the only song that works.

I found this very subtle edit in An Audience with Ronnie Corbett. See if you can spot it. (The weird slightly stretched picture is how Britbox presents all their 4:3 content)

I've just finished watching Michael Palin's New Europe, which seems to have one point in every episode where the subtitles suddenly start talking about a scene that we never get to see and are then out of sync for the rest of it. The episode lengths are 54 minutes, and looking on Genome it was originally shown in an hour long slot, so I wonder if these are international versions with five minutes cut out for commercials.

Broadcast reporting today that according to Barb and Kantar research they think Britbox only had approx 200k subscribers in its first year up to September 2020 but subscriptions were driven up by Spitting Image in the last quarter (no figures for that though). Archive's not going to be enough for them I suppose and they're going to need a steady tap of originals to keep people interested. I know they've got some dramas coming up but Spitting Image feels like ages ago now so I wonder how many subscribers have dropped off.

Despite Britbox removing some content with outdated content, Grange Hill still has racial slurs which are of the period.

Well there's a big difference between racism being portrayed for laughs and that being portrayed for drama.

Also BritBox haven't removed or censored anything - they just have a warning.
