How do you know if Im American or where I was born?

I thought an earlier post had said you were American, but if that was not the case I apologise. I didn't want to use 'non-UK members' because that's not how I split groups on people up on the forum or decide who to moan about...

And I have never said "how great American local TV is " .

Well from the way you are constantly posting in the London Live thread about how one US market does local TV like this and how one market does it like that, and how the way these stations do it is better than London Live and it's good coverage and stuff, I think it's a fair assumption that you think American local TV is pretty dandy, especially if you're comparing it with the UK's equivalent.

Dont visit your assumptions or insecurities on another person.

What insecurities am I expressing by mentioning how you are the only person posting in a thread about helicopters exactly?

Just because you dont seem to like a global viewpoint that's your issue not mine.

Thank you for trying to twist my words there! I have never said I do not appreciate a global viewpoint, and indeed I do enjoy reading when other members post about presentation in other countries etc (for example, I really quite like the look of Germany's Taggeschau and was interested in reading about how the new look came together and the delays in getting it to air). I also was interested in the way the US does Local TV the first few times it was brought up, although my interest is waning now you talk about it in almost every other post you make, and fail to acknowledge the difference in markets between the UK and the US, and how 'works in the US' ≠ 'works in the UK'. My main point was about you being the only person posting in a thread about helicopters (which is not something I'm sure counts as a 'global viewpoint', and I wasn't really talking about you going on about Local TV much at all, that was just an aside.

I think they're the same chopper... BBC Scotland don't have one.

Just the change in logo.

The BBC News one is more a navy blue than a black / blue, and based in the same hanger as the Sky News one.

If you look at a bigger version of the second photo, you can just about make out that the aircraft's registration is G-TAKE; the same as the one in the first.

They're both operated by Arena Aviation in Redhill, and are listed on their fleet page.

The BBC and ITN have a pool agreement, and will always share pictures; they'll also share with Sky on occasion too (and vice versa).

I don't know why I love police chases but I do. Very voyeuristic. I'm a bad person.

I found it quite horrific that someone saw fit to cover the rescue of the people from the Alton Towers crash by having a helicopter flying over with a zoom lens. Would you do that with a motorway pile up, watching as people have their legs cut off to free them from the wreck? Why should watching young kids being rescued from a roller coaster be any different?
