Good Morning Britain - mock graphics

So, there seems to be a load of GMB mocks on here recently, and I too thought they could do with a new look.
Here's my mock, I hope you like it

(In process of editing, I noticed the pictures look really low in quality, I don't know how that happened. If anyone has any tips, I would be grateful)

That yellow gradient has to go!

I'll work on it ASAP

1. Don't like the orange gradient. Looks really gaudy and ugly. Sorry.
2. Love that you're copying mu cut at the side of your shapes with the gmb logo.
3. Don't like the red for breaking news caps. Not the actual red box but the text in the main part. It's too maroon.
4. The ticket seems to take up a lot of space on screen.
5. Not on my laptop so can't check but don't think that your clock is within the 4:3 safe area which is something that was changed for the second take of it graphics.

Alright but there isn a lot to this mock. I feel like where it have something smart but dynamic this is a bunch of shape a, some using the subtract feature on keynote. Also I find that going export - images - jpeg and then metropol upload makes them okay quaking. Or at least never have complaints and it's the way I do it!!

And Henry, I did look at your mock for inspiration, but if you don't like that, I can go and come back with something completely different from it.

Sorry if I seem to be rather over-excited with this, but it's my first mock

I've changed the orange gradients to a simpler white-light grey one, and I've modified the colours on the breaking news aston.

- No orange gradients
- Change the font IMO. Find a simpler one.
- The itvNEWS logo is too big in the ticker in my opinion.

Here we go.

Last update:

1) I've got rid of those orange gradients in favour for some white-light grey ones.

2) I've changed the font to 'Gill Sans'

3) Made the ITV News logo smaller

4) Changed the font colour in the breaking news strap from dark maroons to a light red for the headline and black for the info


I forgot to mention in the original post that I've changed the graphics back to be just 16:9 safe. GMB changed theirs to 4:3, and that's really what spurred me on to making this mock
Once again, I apologise for the low quality. I am trying to sign up to Metropol, but I'm using photobucket at the moment (don't know if this is the reason)

No problem with it. But I do think you need to do more to make it better, otherwise its a poor copy IMO. I agree the font should change to something similar. I also think the purple doesn't suit Entertainment and that it all definitely needs scaling down, it is way too big, mine is probably a little too dainty but this is far too big on screen.

Also pay more attention to the 4:3 margins, people still watch on such TV's, and don't want half cut off headlines and only the minutes on the clock.

I might get rid of the entertainment ticker actually, or at least make it the same (or a slightly different) colour as the main ticker.

Also, I have signed up to metropol, so i'll post the pictures again in the hope it makes them a better quality.

For me Gill Sans screams BBC, somehow I can't get that out of my head.
For me this mock screams PowerPoint and seems like a cheap knock off of the actual GMB Graphics.
