When the weather presenter doesn't realise he's in the London region as far as the web is concerned.

Quite embarrassing for Martin to say the website as itv.com/anglia.

The New York camera is quite high up the building, isn't it? The ITV camera is on top of TLS 7 which is on the 3rd or 4th floor I think which would mean it may be easier to vandalise/damage.

It's not on top of St7, rather it's on the same level at the very rear end of the pedestrian walkway going towards Gabriels Wharf. It's controlled remotely by ITN - although the TLS technical staff will go and kindly wipe away the odd spider etc for them. For completeness sake it is referred to as the 'Thames view camera' for rather obvious reasons as opposed to the roof top camera which, unsurprisingly, is on top of the roof of the tower block.

Since ITV staff don't usually vandalise their own equipment and it's not on a route used by anyone casually, it's been quite safe since it's installation and likely to remain so! It's on top of a 6/7 ft pole.

With my knowledge of New York and angles, I'd say that camera is on top of the old WNET 13 building, down on 33rd Street between 9th and 10th Aves

Does anyone know where the chairs on London and C4N are from? I keep seeing them pop up all over the place, them and the office chairs on This Morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TovTOCuLrY

Erin O'Toole (ITV National News Producer) reporting on the evening bulletin. Times must be tough.

That may explain why Helen Plint is joining.

Yes - it's on the roof of the building the BBC bureau is in.

Not sure of your point. The camera has been in use, in SD, for years (since ITN took over London Tonight from LNN?) without any major issues AFAIK, so the positioning is probably fine.

I have to say Charlene handled tonight's events extremely well, although I wonder if things would have gone as well with someone like Lucrezia running the show. That would have been interesting.

One thing that in some ways disjointed the bulletin was the way the running order was assembled. Obviously the story was developing but the way the bulletin was played out meant that it went from Woolwich, other news, Woolwich, an interview with a man about schools, Woolwich, weather. Now to me they should have put the interview with the man discussing Michael Gove's speech about education with the other news. Although I appreciate the fast paced developments I feel that the bulletin needn't to be as disjointed as it was.

However well done to Charlene and Simon Harris who handled the situation extremely well.
