Which English ITV1 Region is Best

I thought I would do a poll (just for fun) to see which ITV1 region is most popular.

My vote goes to Tyne Tees!

and Granada is where ?

ditto with LWT. tsk.

Personally I was going to go for

HTV, LWT, Scottish, Grampian or UTV!

Plus UTV, Scottish and Grampian!

I could only fit so many on the thingimygig soz[color=green]

carlton central for me.
very good regional news and other output. they say the midlands has the best regional output in the country.
other regions are good too but it's a yes vote to carlton central for me.

They are not English ITV regions, but HTV West should be there.

Why is Channel there then?

He said 'English'. The channel Islands are not part of England, therfore Channel doesnt have to be listed!!!!!!

I think Westcountry still takes some beating as far as the English ITV stations go. They have nice presentation (albeit with the wrong name), nice continuity which still comes locally almost all of the time, and despite the drastic cuts in the quantity and money for regional programming these days, Westcountry still manages to turn out some pretty decent stuff (40 years of ITV and that series about Trago Mills whose name I can't remember spring to mind).

And as they seem to have switched to a more friendly, almost TSW like continuity style now after years of 'Now on Westcountry, Coronation Street' type announcements, they're doing very well and are very regional for a station owned in London which isn't allowed to use it's real name.

I think Meridian has been great since it began in 1993. The first idents were great and they kept the same music on all the idents up until the introduction of the ITV Hearts Idents.
