very good regional news and other output. they say the midlands has the best regional output in the country.
other regions are good too but it's a yes vote to carlton central for me.
I think Westcountry still takes some beating as far as the English ITV stations go. They have nice presentation (albeit with the wrong name), nice continuity which still comes locally almost all of the time, and despite the drastic cuts in the quantity and money for regional programming these days, Westcountry still manages to turn out some pretty decent stuff (40 years of ITV and that series about Trago Mills whose name I can't remember spring to mind).
And as they seem to have switched to a more friendly, almost TSW like continuity style now after years of 'Now on Westcountry, Coronation Street' type announcements, they're doing very well and are very regional for a station owned in London which isn't allowed to use it's real name.

I think Meridian has been great since it began in 1993. The first idents were great and they kept the same music on all the idents up until the introduction of the ITV Hearts Idents.
