ITV1-only idents - a pack of lies

Of course Martin Lambie-Nairn does make all those idents all by himself, just him, not the rest of his company, he personally is responsible for all TV graphics on the BBC.....!

So then, just to recap, are we now saying that we won't be seeing new generic ITV1 idents on GMG stations tomorrow morning or what ?

Ahh, and there was me thinking that he was in charge of his company, and the BBC pay his company to create new idents.

well Larry did say Lambie Nairn (the name of the company) rather than Martin Lambie-Nairn (the owner and founder of the company)

I will know for definate tomorrow as I will manage to get hold of someone I know at GMG group to tell me what's happening. Shame then that tomorrow might be a tad too late!

I've been chatting again to someone I know who works for GMG, and he hasn't heard anything more about the new look. He said earlier in the week that they were showing a new generic itv1 ident on the region monitors at Leeds everytime they played out the ident - but it was really the hearts going out! Strange though as they then switched back to showing the hearts on the region monitors over the weekend - so lets not build up hopes. I don't think the new look will begin tomorrow, but I think it will happen soon.

Damn, so we are still going to have to suffer two Tyne Tees logos from Tyne Tees, idiots!

Well, no new ident, just the crappy Tyne Tees hearts as usual, they at least could updated their logo!
