The East opt for Sunday Politics comes from the Cambridge studio, rather than the Norwich studio, I've noticed. There's also a set extension used, with the presenter sitting behind some panels, and the guests on the area where the set would normally be. Also, Cambridge have VIZrt, don't they? If so, that explains the animations on the graphics for Sunday Politics, despite stretched text.

Yeah that would give it away. Unfortunately I didn't see the last 10 mins of the program but there was no usual 'more news from your part of the region' break point at 18:40.

The initial article in a local paper said Mondays but I imagine it will be reasonably flexible. Alex Dolan appears to be sticking around and Weatherquest are still providing cover and radio bulletins.

Ah it was deffo a full split then as Stuart & Susie never appeared tonight on the west sub opt that I was watching. It would also explain the dodgy opt out of the 6 at 18:15 as we always get a clunky jump when Cambridge do the opt as I assume Cambridge opt back into Norwich who opt back to network all at the same time. Wonder why the program was split for the full half hour then. No significant stories were covered by Cambridge.

Could have been although nothing seemed out of the norm, almost felt like it was thin on the ground for news at the point I had to leave. Maybe they were testing Cambridge to handle a full 30 min double headed program for something in the future?
One possible reason, I've thought of, for the occasional splits is as opportunities to test out presenters or pairings. Look East doesn't necessarily have any obvious replacement for Stewart.
