Indeed. BBC Four launched as a replacement for 'Knowledge' in March 2002, and BBC Three followed as a relaunched 'Choice' almost a year later in February 2003.

You are Tumble Tower's second cousin and I claim my £5.

If you're not going to add anything meaningful to the discussion, then sit in the corner and be quiet!

Yes, because you telling everyone something everyone already knows is superbly productive isn't it!

Everybody? Are you absolutely sure about that?

Yep. Everyone worth their salt. Anyone who didn't know that BBC3 was Choice and BBC4 was Knowledge has no place on a serious TV enthusiasts discussion forum. They should sod off back to DS where they belong.

BBC Choice became BBC Three over eight years ago. Some of the people in this forum were barely in primary school then, may not even remember BBC Choice especially since it was still the early days of digital television. I'm 27 and I hardly remember it.

I guess the point was that almost everyone registered here has taken the time to find a forum devoted primarily to TV presentation (though admittedly that has been diluted some what *glares at Daybreak thread*) and as such would have a bit of prior knowledge about the history of the main UK stations, gained through the researching of their identities.

But I hear what you're saying. We're old. Razz

Off to watch ITV1. Did you know it used to be a structure of 15 regional stations up to 2002? How delightfully archaic!

If you are serious about TV, you would have spent many a day researching and browsing TV pres and history. If you visit the BBC Three wikipedia page, you would have stumbled across BBC Choice.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise you had to pass a knowledge test to join this forum. Rolling Eyes

Nowhere does it say you are expected to know about presentation history. Since most discussion is about current presentation, it is quite possible to have a discussion on many topics on this forum even if you'd never watched television until quite recently.

I answered the question, and you complain when I did.

I don't waste time trying to read subtle innuendos or questions, Micheal. You should get out more!
