sorry to bring this back, but i thought there were a few things that might need picking up on.
new 4od catch-up is much improved over the old offering, and works seamlessly with the new programmes pages. i actually think I prefer these to the bbc /programmes sites, as they have a lot more information and just feel a lot nicer. the urls are also much better.
there's also a channel4.com blog at platform4, which is a nice read.
overall though, I'm really impressed and it's grown on me massively. the homepage is really unique and suits channel 4 perfectly.

The new 4oD streaming service is much better.
No more WMP.
Another good thing is there doesn't appear to be any adverts before the programmes start - at least on Deal Or No Deal anyway - http://www.channel4.com/programmes/deal-or-no-deal/catch-up
The Channel 4 site is really starting to turn around now - I thought it used to be pretty terrible.
More 4's minisite should be due for a revamp soon, I would have thought.
http://4music.channel4.com/ seems dead at the moment.

4oD application is to close in July, but the archives will be implemented into channel4.com

I have to say, I'm finding myself using the Channel 4 website so much more often since the redesign - the homepage inparticular is so unique to C4.

Finally, they are using Flash for catch up instead of bulky WMP

The 4OD app was too clunky to navigate for my liking, but I hope they're not going to get rid of the option to download shows in Windows Media format, as I like to stream them to my XBox360. Channel 4 should offer WMV downloads (via the browser) as an alternative to streaming, much like the BBC iPlayer website does for those of us that prefer WMV over the MP4 downloads via the Adobe AIR based iPlayer Desktop.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't really like watching TV shows on my screen. I find it's much more comfortable and enjoyable to watch TV shows ... on my TV, including shows from catch up sites.
