Yes, each one is described as having problems, leading to "trouble".
More loathsome children in EastEnders.
Who'd have believed it?

To which the BBC's reply was "well that's barely any considering the number that watched". True, but the BBC still have a duty of care to all their viewers and can't keep hiding behind that line every time they do something like this (which 'seems' at least to be getting more regular).
Maybe for these dramatic episodes they should put it on at 9pm, trail it well and be allowed to up the tension/swearing/violence?

The BBC received 137 complaints about Friday night's episode. Apparently it wasn't suitable to be shown before the watershed

Have the complainers being living outside the country for the past 2 months?? You knew when you saw the coffin what was going to happen so why didn't they just take the kids out of the room or turn the tv off?
Some people just love to complain to bring fun into there lives.
In other news users of the Digital Spy forums have named EastEnders best soap at the Digital Spy Soap Awards,They won 7 out of 14.

The watershed is supposed to be fixed and non-negotiable. Parents shouldn't have to second guess when the BBC deems fit to show something entirely unsuitable for children.
And in answer to your ludicrous hypothetical question - viewers don't have to be "out the country for two months", many - like me - don't watch EastEnders any more and might just stumble across it.
Furthermore - your "other news" is not news any more than "Digital Spy Awards" are awards.
