I thought last nights episode was great, love the Ben & Stella stuff too- can't wait to see what happens in the future! Also, Barbara Windsor was on the Paul O'Grady show yesterday and said the downstairs of the Queen Vic was going to be re-decorated

If it was a fire I'm sure she would have implied that it would be part of a bigger storyline. I didn't see it but if all she said was that it was being re-decorated then I'm sure that's all it is.

If there is going to be a fire, I hope it isn't as upsetting as the Sun Hill fires! I actually like the interior of The Queen Victoria Public House much better than The Rovers Return Inn, so I dont want it to change that much.

This is still the main thread for discussion of the show (e.g. storylines, characters and spoilers etc) but there was a desire to separate the ongoing debate over the quality of the programme. It was beginning to take over in the old thread, which reduced the amount of discussion about the show's content. I'm sure the other thread will die eventually, but for the time being this thread allows EastEnders discussion to continue without being sidetracked.

From tonights ending, and what i've picked up i'll put a £10 bet that Stella will tie Ben up in the Vic on the day of the wedding and set fire to it. Ian and Phil races in to save him but with all the alcohol ect it explodes.
