Channel 4 Breakfast

Well, C4's morning strand of The Salon, Friends, Everyone Loves Raymond and Bewitched is T4 Breakfast all but in name.

But personally I see this as only a temporary solution - what do you think the long term solution is. Remember this is Channel 4 who will want to offer an alternative in the mornings - so no GMTV/Breakfast clones please!

Personally, I'd like to see them try a radio style breakfast show with just one presenter and their sidekicks. The format would be the same as a standard breakfast radio show, including music videos, the occassional guest, competitions and regular news updates. The studio would be quite basic but functional, with short jingles rather than title sequences etc. And most importantly from C4's point of view, it would be quite cheap to make.

Whatever happens, I bet by the time Big Brother 5 comes along we'll have live streaming of them sleeping in the mornings!

I thought the presentation of channel 4 this moening was soooo cheap. The time in the corner wasn't even in the centre of the rounded square, the presentation is very tacky (the way a line comess out of the time and forms boxes CHEAP nad TACKY!!!) finally when they go for a break (e.g Friends) the horrible colour green box is too big!
I think C4 should have funkier writing to appeal for teens as most of the earlier programmes (7:00-8:00am) are for teens, then they should go for an older sort of text for the later programmes (8:00-10:15am) as these programmes are not aimed at teens. I also think that they should have text saying something like '4 MORNINGS'.

It could work maybe if it was made as a tv programme, so host at desk with people around them talking to the camera, rather than how Sky One did it and have a camera in the studio and air that. Alternatively just hand over the slot to T4. They did a great job through the christmas break, why couldn't they do it everyday?

What I don't get is that T4 is aimed at teenagers. It starts a week earlier due to colleges & uni's finishing earlier than schools, but most uni's haven't started back yet, so why hasn't the T4 strand continued for another week?

OK I think they've pretty much settled on the 4 Breakfast name.

The announcer this morning keeps uming and erring

I watch Friends and Raymond every morning now.

Friends is good but they missed out episode 10 in this morning run.

Is Raymond any good? I haven't really watrched it properly.
