Hello everyone, a long time lurker over the past few years, but large appreciator of the content posted here over the years. I had made an account earlier this month, but hadn’t been able to get around to making this post, but it is better late than never after all!
Growing up as a toddler in the early 2000s in Australia and discovering Wallace & Gromit, I became fond of the 1989-1997 BBC, and Children’s BBC logos, as well as its accompanying idents as the VHS tapes I was given had not yet been updated, and that was the first time I fell in love with branding and corporate identity, as well as News somewhat, as I drew the logo with coloured markers onto a piece of a paper, and sticky taped it to a toy drumstick pretending it was a microphone, hah.
I eventually looked a lot more into the history of BBC’s idents as well as BBC News in general in the late 2000s. I discovered TVForum between 2014 and 2015, and it was nice to find a community full of people who have the same passion and interest with idents and general branding.
It has been fun to read the discussions that have happened over the years, such as the BBC News technical issues, the Reith Corporate rollout, and the launch of the new BBC Two idents in 2018 to name a few. I signed up to TV Forum Live earlier this month and look forward to the new experiences being shared there, and being a part of the conversation!
Well done to all who contributed to TVForum over the last 20 years, and thank you Asa and Mods for your hard effort keeping the Community a fun haven for all admirers of TV Presentation/News & Current Affairs.

Even though I was barely active on TV Forum for the last five-years, I only did some posts, and three mocks, before only mostly only looking at the stuff that was on it.
Even if TV Forum closes, I will never forget it.
And from all of us here at The TV-Fan on TV Forum, I wish you all a very peaceful night and look forwards to seeing me on TV-Live Forum. Goodnight and goodbye from The TV-Fan.

Okay well after 7600 posts, recipient of 4,658 kudos (plus whatever's below) and distributor of, um, 17 kudos
It's goodbye from me after 7037 days. Thank you Asa, Bail, Charlie and everybody else. What a great forum we leave.
(in true Blockbusters style, I'll be on the other side - TV Live Forum)

Almost every post. A few months were lost due to a server crash in 2002.
I’ve only just discovered that you can go back and view every post from the very beginning - which is testament to Asa’s commitment to the community given the iterations of Ikonboard, phpBB and custom scripting that the site has went through!

In that case, I'll just say
"Jessica Ennis... goodnight."
Something profound needed to say goodbye to the forum...

And that's all from me too, as I'm not sure I'll be moving over to the other place. (Well, not yet, anyway.) Might be back tomorrow to remind people to turn their sets off and pull the plug out of the socket, mind.
Thanks Asa, and thank you all.
