Another Good Morning Britain Mockup!

Since the sad news of TV Forum closing I've been digging around my TV presentation folder... (March 2021)

It doesn't look bad as it is, I'm only talking about a minor change. If this were my mock, I'd align the headline/supporting text as per the tag (e.g. "BREAKING NEWS" or "NEW THIS MORNING") to the left.

Just looks a bit nicer to my eye, and allows for an easier read for the viewer due to the increase in space around the text, allowing it all to breathe a bit more.

It's your mock, though. Ultimately, I'm just some toerag sticking my oar in. Progress your work as per your desires, not mine!


You're exactly right there! Design is as much about form as it is function and it is much easier to read with that separation 😊

Before this forum sadly closes this Wednesday I thought I'd have one final stab at the lower third graphics for Good Morning Britain. I've changed the teardrop logo to more of a sunrise shape and introduced an all caps name which I think works well with a new integrated clock. Also new is a weather/contact bug that sits to the right hand side of the strap. The new bug could also be used for highlighting features 'coming up' on the show too.

On the whole this is just a refinement of the current graphics which cleans everything up and the rounded corners are friendlier to match the logo. Would love to hear your final thoughts before we all pack everything up and move over to the new forum from tomorrow 😊

Everything is so slick, so clear, and so visually appealing.
The redesigned logo/clock is a great move. The teardrop-shaped logo has looked out of place alongside the rest of the angular graphics ever since they made changes to replace the rounded cornered shapes with rectangles a few years back. Your design solves this problem.
The rightmost graphic showing social media and weather information displays these details simply, yet beautifully.
When a mock design is ten times better than what's on screen for real, you know you're looking at something very impressive.
Someone get ITV on the phone and get you on the GMB team!

I like the idea, and it would certainly work on air. Still don't think that it would be an upgrade from the current ones, but I absolutely love the execution - you've got a talent!

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate your kind words! The current GMB graphics already have the bare-bones but they could do with a little refinement which I've tried to create here 😊
