It used to get a single live airing at 0130 I think (or it could have been 0230, I can’t quite recall).

It’s on world news at 2230,2330,0030,0130 & 0230 GMT. Are they all live?

0130 was indeed the only broadcasting of ABR on the domestic news channel, as we got Hardtalk @ 0030.

Not a moment goes by that I miss watching Newsday introduced by Rico Hizon. Will be glad to see Newsday back, even if his personality won't return Sad

That whistling of the countdown theme at the start made me crack up...😂If I have a chance to be or work in a gallery I'm gonna be soooo annoying constantly humming the themes and stings...

Just wondering something. When is Dateline London actually filmed. I always thought it was broadcast live on the NC on Saturday morning but for the second week running it's been presented by a different presenter to the Saturday morning NC presenter.

So is it actually prerecorded?

It used to be live on BBC News at 11.30.
Maybe they pre recorded it, knowing they'd be able to opt out of it if required, as the Capt. Tom funeral coverage was due to begin at around the same time.
If they did it live and potentially had to leave it half way through, it would have meant they wouldn't have a full edition for later BBC News and BBC World News showings of it.
Otherwise, I can't think why they wouldn't have done it live like they used to (unless it's to do with availability of contributors or Covid restriction related).

Becuase of the funeral, they did Dateline London an hour early this morning.

Was a strange set up on BBC News this morning anyway - Geeta Guru-Murthy on Dateline than NC, Reeta C in for the Lunchtime news, funeral overran and looked like they were waiting around showing nothing happening at the end to join a last minute simulcast with James Reynolds on World News, then Shaun Ley at 1330 introducing Global questions. Feels like they had more presenters in than usual?!

But nice to see Owain Evans debuting!

And for some reason for the past 2 Saturday's, were back to two presenters being on the early shift (i.e the 2nd person doing Dateline) which i thought we got rid of for cost reasons.
