Could it be to deep clean the studio and newsroom, I doubt they would want to broadcast cleaning in the background.
This may sound like a ridiculous question but does studio E have a ‘closing time’ because Ben bland moved from E to C for the midnight bulletin but why do they change studios? Can’t imagine E is needed for anything at this time.

I know this sounds a silly question, but why does the presenter have to change if the gallery team do?
Because it's not just about the presenters but the gallery teams too?

How does Marr manage to have different sized screens behind the interviewee whilst in E compared to NC and BBC1 bullitens.
Are the 'screens' used on the NC fake screens shown on a larger set of screens?
Doesn't look like chromakey to me and definitely isn't a vinyl backdrop (because the cars move

The Nine, at Ten, on B7. The taglines write themselves!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'd show BBC Scotland's The Nine on the News Channel over the Ten O'Clock News

Do you mean the screen where Andrew Marr has Westminster as a background but the NC has the little screens of the globes? I think that's an LED screen that is full size with fake light boxes on it when the NC uses it (aside from the bottom and top as they are real)

Yeah. Seems a bit odd that the NC doesn't use larger graphics in that case.

If the gallery team in Studio C hands over to the gallery team in Studio E, the presenter is going to have to either change or move also.

Are galleries locked to each studio - ie could Studio E be operated using Gallery C or vice versa?

News at 5 didn't return. Change to 9 was just in language and strap, nothing major.
Did the domestic News at 9 and 5 make a comeback? Last week I saw the numbered 9am intro and the News at Nine strap but this morning it used the generic one instead.
