Cue the Hand of God clip being repeated for the rest of the day, but bar one incident, easily one of the greatest if not the greatest football player of all time.

Yeah, thanks to that incident, England fans love to hate him. Doesn't mean he wasn't a good footballer though.

Just discovered a Fourth round Coppa Italia match live on BTSX2 now (Wed 25 Nov 2020 @ 15000, I haven't seen any promotion for this, and am wondering whether I'm the only one watching.

There's another scheduled tomorrow too.

Yes. First Goal - Truly appalling refereeing
Second Goal - Truly amazing football skills

And let's not forget Barry Davis just said "oh, you have to say that was magnificent.. no debate about that"

Thoughtful, concidered, measured.

In contrast if that was scored today, you'd have some modern commentators still screaming his surname long after Shilton had booted the ball back up towards the centre circle for the re-start..

Confirmation that there will only be one athletics Diamond League meeting in the U.K. next year.

https://athleticsweekly.com/athletics-news/diamond-league-2021-calendar-revealed-1039937681

There will only be a one day meet in London in July.

Unless I’ve missed it there’s still no word on a new deal between U.K. Athletics and the BBC.

Bryon Butler’s commentary on Maradona’s second goal against England (featured here in the FIFA tournament film) is, if anything, even better than Barry Davies’

(Yes, that is Michael Caine narrating it)

Why does it look like there's a massive dead spider in the centre circle in that clip? I'm assuming it's a shadow of a floodlight?

If I remember correctly, it was the PA system speakers.

And here's a message from the man himself...

Delighted by this - great presenter, great man. Brilliant to see pretty much everyone in TV sport in the replies wishing him all the best.

Hats off to the guy for his bravery and honesty, for every person like him there's a hundred suffering in silence. And well done to Amazon for offering him the role too.
