Looking on the iPlayer, I notice the October 1974 election has around 90 minutes of the breakfast portion (which has different presenters, Burnet and Day taking over at 9AM), cutting in abruptly, presumably from the point the recording starts. I can't remember if they've shown this when they showed this election in the past, certainly with the Feb 74 and earlier elections they've never shown any of the breakfast portion (possibly because it doesn't exist?). I notice the October 74 coverage also ends abruptly, presumably the back end of it doesn't exist either?
I think 79 is the only election that BBC Parliament have ever shown the breakfast portion in full, I don't think they've shown the breakfast coverage of post-83 elections either, possibly because they were part of Breakfast Time/News rather than technically part of the main coverage.
