Possibly a technical fault or shortage of Human Resources to input the updates due to reduction in personnel numbers in the relevant office?

But you’re right. It’s been flashing the same thing for hours on end.

I'd suggest not watching Sky News then as theirs is in Breaking News mode almost 24/7.

Re. BBC NC ticker, there's also been various typos. One ended up on screen for about 12 hours. I believe someone on here reported there was an incorrect figure cycling round for some hours too.

A future David Lowe or Bill Bailey in the making.

Victoria Derbyshire was sitting on a stool on the catwalk earlier. Don't think we've ever seen that before.

If you watch the 10am opening sequence the BBC seemed to have hired a Usain Bolt speed Floor Manager handing Victoria some papers.

That was a surprise. I'd have thought that was the most unlikely thing to come from Owain ever! And it's been a while since we last had some *BBC NEWS THEME NEWS*, probably since the breakdancing man nearly fell over doing a backflip in front of Simon McCoy.

Probably brought in specially for Mrs. She nearly dropped her phone. 😂

Multiple technical issues on the One today. One report failed to play, another froze for a second and displayed the download the BBC News app.

The music also faded in and out during the intro.

Just noticed this on an advert on News Channel for BBC World Service - still not using a Reith logo I see!

The WS logo is a bit confused at the moment. On Twitter, they're using the Reith logo as a profile picture, but their banner, as well as everywhere else - including BBC Sounds - still has Gill Sans. I'm sure they'll sort it out eventually - I don't think logos really impact on the viewing experience of the stations Wink

Also I think of note the national radio stations and Radio Kent and London still use Gill Sans logo, and I haven't seen a Reith variant of them anywhere, so I'm presuming Gill Sans is still alive on the radio - for now.

I can't remember which thread it was on here, but from what I remember the Beeb have to pay for each new application of the fonts. Since the logos are pre-existing would that mean they don't have to pay extra? I know nothing about fonts and licensing so am happy to be corrected Smile
