She was probably just scheduled to do the Five anyway.

There must have been a hell of a lot of talking in Carrie Gracie’s earpiece after the Prime Minister press conference. She seemed to be very distracted/agitated at times when bringing us the re-cap of the proceedings.

Nevertheless, nice to see Carrie back on World News for a change.

Well whoever was on would have done it regardless. They wouldn't have called someone in specially and displaced Carrie at such short notice. Also if she is planning to leave, she won't retract her notice just because of one major news story (albeit an extremely important one).

Dear Rolling News, Carrie Gracie is not Mystic Meg. Nor she or any duty presenter could’ve known what was to come. My point being - I do not think for one second Gracie will leave or be pushed CONTRARY to other forum members on this site may believe or have claimed.

I suspect all such annoncements now will be around 5pm so they're after the stock market closes.

I'm not saying Carrie is Mystic Meg. I'm saying whoever was rota'd for today's Five would have also appeared on BBC One from about 17:30 for the second half of the News Special. It doesn't make Carrie any more important than anyone else who may have appeared in her place nor does it determine whether she will still be employed by the BBC in the future.

Let's get back to the topic in hand before other people get annoyed.

Her presentation style seems to be like that in general these days. Its been flagged on here before.

It seems ‘trying to make a point’ these days is like treading on egg shells.

Newer posts
