Christmas TV 2019

There isnt and neither have the programmes since TVC closed. It will be interesting to see what happens now that the BBCs contract with Peel in Salford has come to an end.

Probably a silly question, but why is BBC1 running so late this evening? (MOTD started six minutes later than billed.) Can’t see anything in the schedule that would have delayed it.

They put a 35 and a half minute MBB into a 30 minute slot

It was the same on Christmas Day, but in that case MBB was in a much longer slot to allow it to start very late and finish on time.

Ta. Was annoyed enough at MOTD being delayed for that without MBB getting an extra five minutes on top...

I think MOTD was the problem .

They seemed to be trying to maintain the fiction that MOTD stated by 1105pm even though they knew that with all the programme lengths there was no way it could .

Didn't realise LWT didn't have any studios when they made Live at the Palladium for several years in the eighties.

And Central didn't have any studios when they made New Faces either....

Had to look up what MBB meant, don't go all Tumble Tower on us

Incidentally isn't showing 'The Sound of Music' twice on BBC Television on both 1st Jan (BBC ONE 2.30pm) and 2nd Jan (BBC FOUR 7pm) taking things a tad too far for 2020?
