This was Paxman’s idea and title, he emailed it in to Ben Frow and it was commissioned pretty much straight away.

This is their third political documentary they've done this year as well.

The last one was a 2 part series called "Portillo: The Trouble with the Tories", and the first one was "Naughty: The Life and Loves of Boris Johnson".

They all seem to have a similar tabloid style to them, and are typical Channel 5 shows.

Thanks for the heads-up - sounds pretty good!

There's a debate afterwards

Hosted by Jeremy Vine

Probably still gutted that if he’d have stayed at the BBC slightly longer he’d be fronting Question Time.

I’m not entirely sure how they can debate the quality of MPs generally without it just being a debate about Brexit

He still is at the BBC, he presents for them for two hours a day.

You know what I mean, at the BBC from a TV perspective

He’d have been in the running for QT if he hadn’t signed up for Channel 5

Doubt it - he's nowhere near good enough for that role.

He was in the running for Question Time, wasn't he? Wasn't he one of the presenters that auditioned but didn't make the cut?

Indeed, a quick Google and I've found a great clickbait headline from the Express... 'Question Time: David Dimbleby replacement CONFIRMED as Jeremy Vine QUITS fellow BBC show?. The article is actually about Vine leaving Points of View!

Nick Robinson was the only male presenter to record a pilot. Vine was losing BBC tv gigs well before C5

It's not really a question of losing gigs, Radio 2 is clearly his priority and he certainly gets a bigger audience there than he would on Question Time, The Politics Show or anything else. Apart from the election coverage, which he still does.

Has 5 Star got a new look? The DOG looks different this morning.

EDIT: Yep - new logo, new idents - mainly graphical based.

What looks different? They haven't updated any of their logos online anywhere if they have changed it...

EDIT - I see Twitter has been updated but that's about it.
