The logo is the low point sure, but let's hope this really does mean the end of the Gill Sans BBC Two logo, and a new primary colour that is not teal.

I hope the Menus, Endboards, Promo graphics are all interesting too. I would like to see the transition from programme end, through trailers and stings, to the next Ident - feels fresher and modern.


You'll still be seeing teal in various places, for the time being.

Now you've seen the idents, you've also seen the menus and trail endboards. All the elements of this brand are interchangeable.

It's randomised, but its usually selected by someone in Media Planning or a Presentation Scheduler (it depends on the department structure of the broadcaster) - Sometimes if I see an ident flows with a particular programme, I'd swap it out.

The idents are scheduled by the Media Planners who also place the trails/promos and credit squeezes.

Yes, different broadcasters work in different ways. On BBC Two NI though the idents are not randomised, they are selected and placed.

Very tastefully done. Great nod to the origins, but haven’t gone full OTT. Farewell numerical 2, you will be missed
