So instead of bringing onboard somebody who is friendly with (and has good chemistry with) Dec, they should instead get somebody who Dec has never met? That should do wonders for the on screen partnership...

I suppose if they went for a more interesting choice then ITV would've risked viewers liking it so much, they might not want Ant to come back. Watching a bit of Julia Morris, I warmed to her very quickly. If she got too comfortable in the role, people might not want to see her go.
