He's already got Catchphrase and Big Star's Little Star. Don't underestimate any ITV face piling their plate up.

I suppose it could've been worse. Could've been Scarlett.

Dec wanted Holly to host it with him (according to The Mirror), she hasn’t been ‘shoehorned’ into anything. The three of them have been good friends for a long time.

Holly has a significant social media following and is generally fairly popular. I’m sure she’ll fit in well. The chemistry will be different, but ITV clearly don’t want a copy of Ant.

The other industry way of getting hired, nepotism.

So instead of bringing onboard somebody who is friendly with (and has good chemistry with) Dec, they should instead get somebody who Dec has never met? That should do wonders for the on screen partnership...

Or being represented by James Grant.

I suppose if they went for a more interesting choice then ITV would've risked viewers liking it so much, they might not want Ant to come back. Watching a bit of Julia Morris, I warmed to her very quickly. If she got too comfortable in the role, people might not want to see her go.
