The old loose women theme was used today at the link from this morning, wonder if it's a permanent change...

It looks like it is permanent - as they've just used it on their walk on. The title card has been dropped as they go straight to a shot of the audience/set - as their intro. The voiceover is still there.

Which is how the show used to open in series 1. Perhaps going through the old footage for the birthday special gave them some inspiration.

Let's hope it's a permanent change: repeating the same pop songs when they did the walk on was getting tiresome... if I'm really being honest.

The 2011-2014 version of the original theme - when Carol Vorderman and Sally Lindsay joined the show. That version.

That would be a kick in the b***s for ITV's go to composers, Sitting Duck, none of their music has been withdrawn and replaced with someone else's so far.

What? No more 'Sha la la la la?'

Tough that theme was crap:

Long live the old theme.

Great to see the old theme back, but did it make anyone think that the old theme doesn't really match how the show looks now? Probably because we sorta got used to the 'sha la la la la' theme. Best thing to do is to create a new title sequence, with the old theme. Smile

Part of me thinks that'll probably happen at some point. It's interesting to note the subtle changes they've made recently - then BAM... this one - the theme revertion - comes out of nowhere:

- We've had the break bumpers changed from cutting to the title card to the logo animating on screen into/out of the break

- The DOG moved to a lower position

- The show promo on This Morning slightly different: rather than a whole panel shot when each panel member teases the topic, it's an individual shot - then the whole panel

- Different camera shots for the walk-on. Normally the camera moves down the 'red carpet' towards the entrance - but now, they're using the jib camera more in the walk on.

Then, the use of these camera shots during the walk-on a few weeks ago:

- Now, the return of the Series 16-18 theme tune - a major change.

Maybe I'm reading into these changes too much, but one suspects there'll probably be more changes on the horizon. A new look when the show moves to TVC: a graphical and set overhaul... Razz Interesting times ahead, if I'm honest.

There wont be any many major changes until it moves to the BBC studios.
