At the risk of mentioning the R-word how does the UTV line up currently look. Does the 10.30pm edition have a dedicated presenter because if so you'd expect their might be a reshuffle once that is axed as they're not going to use one of their high profile presenters just to host a brief late night bulletin.

The 10:30pm bulletin is always presented by Paul Clark, who usually presents the 6:00pm bulletin as well. The odd time it would be presented by Marc Mallett but very rarely. I would imagine the late bulletin will probably just be presented by one of the ones who usually does the Friday, Saturday or Sunday programmes.
There definitely seems to be a change of name on the cards from next week. Friday at 10:30pm is the last programme to be called UTV Live, every programme from Saturday onwards is now called UTV News according to the Sky TV guide.

Interesting to change on a Saturday. Usually it's Monday. But I suppose Saturday is 1st October...
It's still UTV Live on radiotimes.com though they could be wong/
Strange. The Virgin TV guide also shows the change of name to UTV News. Another difference I've noticed is that Radio Times is showing a 50 minute UTV Live on Monday 3rd October, whereas Sky and Virgin are showing a 10 minute UTV News.

The RTE Guide also has UTV News down for the weekday bulletins and it also shows the 10 minute bulletin on Monday. I wonder if Radio Times got its listings for UTV before the decision to change the name.
Incidentally, on those listings that have the late UTV News down on Monday evening for ten minutes, what is being aired afterwards? Is it the mooted "View from Stormont" or the network programme?

No just the network programme "The Agenda". Although UTV are then showing "Celebrity Home Secrets" between this and Jonathan Ross since they're opting out at 8pm when this is shown on ITV.

The 50 minute UTV Live on Radio Times must be an error then as it doesn't show the Agenda on it all.
Well that was a very low key finish for UTV Live Tonight!
Was just reading a conversation on Twitter between Marc Mallett and a viewer who had noticed the change of name for next week. Marc's reply was that good things come to those who wait and that we will see the changes over the coming weeks.
