There is people saying Mel is in a Hospital, so that might blow all that out of the window.

There really wasn't any point in Tulisa being there last night. Her walk out with Andrea felt very awkward given they'd only met a few hours before and by that point in the competition they really didn't need the judges walking out with them anyway, it would have been fine with just the three of them on stage.

Was a bit pointless considering they only critiqued the first performance. Would have made more sense for Louis to step into Mel's shoes as he has been quite supportive of Andrea throughout. Tulisa clearly felt awkaward about the whole thing at the end, though it was eased by the other judges joining Andrea on stage.

They could have made that moment easier by just having the contestants on for the results so they'd have all been up there without their mentor.

As for the conspiracy theories around Mel - it's been made quite clear that she is pretty seriously ill so really don't see the need for pointless speculation about it. As we also saw when Claudia was off Strictly a few weeks ago viewers seem to think they're entitled to a full doctors report explaining why someone is off rather than just respecting their privacy.

Considering it's no secret Mel has been trying to get on the UK show for about five years she's not going to throw it away on a whim. Even if she was fed up of it I've no doubt she'd have been professional enough to fulfil her obligations (and bank the cheque) rather than walk out at the very end and abandon her act, who although was the outsider was still very much worth fighting for.

Ratings for the X Factor final dipped to a 10-year low on Saturday, despite attracting more than a third of the available audience.

The ITV talent show drew an average audience of 8.4 million, including those watching on catch up services.

Only 2004 drew lower ratings, when 8.1 million watched Steve Brookstein become the first ever X Factor champion.

Italian Andrea Faustini was voted off the show, with Fleur East remaining the hot favourite to win the contest.

She and Ben Haenow will go head to head in the final show on Sunday.

Either way something will need to change, I'm not sure how.

Maybe people should be allowed to vote on 3 people there want to from the Judges houses and announce it live on the telly? Do what Cheyl said and get rid of the theme weeks, or better still have better theme weeks: like

* Favourite song
* Forgotten hits
* Idol week
* X factor winners

A very tabloid report by the BBC there leading on a sensationalised ratings headline, it was only a very small margin behind last year.

I bet if the Strictly final is lower the headline won't be 'Strictly lowest final since...', it'll be 'XYZ wins Strictly'

That's a pretty miraculous recovery considering she was on her death bed this morning. Rolling Eyes

It's was clearly nothing more than a pretty desperate, and incredibly tacky, publicity stunt.

Either way the Bookies were right, BUT now comes the interesting aspect the voting number for each show.

Except when that article was written, the winner hadn't been announced. It's a false comparison.

Still. if it's at a ten-year low, I'd want to know that rather than just see a figure in isolation.
