And so the reminders begin on BBC One - Sue Barker popping up saying Andrew Marr is on BBC Two. I appreciate they have to have them when the schedule changes at the last minute, but this final was always scheduled for BBC One wasn't it?

No it was originally scheduled for BBC2 and the change was made after Murray's win on Thursday.

No - which is why Sue Barker is popping up. If Murray hadn't been in the final it would have stayed, as scheduled, on BBC Two.

A shame Jonathan Over end has been dropped for the final - he is far better than Andrew Castle IMO.

Re: The Open - a shame and highlights what I was saying about the MOTD deal not necessarily being good news for BBC Sport beyond football. Probably though the most easy to sacrifice of their main rights and the fact all the other UK tournaments have been on Sky for a while makes it more difficult to justify the price tag.

Open - the disappointing thing though is the Sky were seemingly offering only £3 million more than the Beeb. That's not huge money, and surely worth sacrificing to at least keep mainstream exposure of your flagship event.

It's not as if this is going to pump millions of pounds into the grassroots game. Certainly has echoes of the BBC losing English cricket in 1999.

Tennis - can't see Sunday Politics starting anywhere near it's rescheduled time of 12pm. And of course it can't be moved to BBC Two . . .

EDIT: just remembered it could also be tricky for BBC One Scotland who have the Old Firm Cup match live at 1pm.

Everybody loves a tennis scheduling headache.

Sunday Politics moved to 1315 on EPG

So if you were a scheduling controller at BBC Scotland, you'd be dropping the network Sunday Politics, inserting a filler at 12pm on BBC Two, slotting in the Scotland Sunday Politics at 12.30pm on Two, dropping the 1pm News and moving the tennis to BBC Two at 1pm to make way for Sportscene Live on One?

I should do this for a living . . .

Presumably they'd move the Tennis to BBC Two to allow the Old Firm Cup match to run on BBC One as scheduled, then show Sunday Politics on BBC Two afterwards (as Scotland can do BBC Two opts) if they show it?

They'd have to show the network Sunday Politics off tape.

Presumably the Sunday Politics wouldn't happen until the Tennis has finished on BBC One England (it wouldn't be there to drop), so you'd be able to shift the network BBC One schedule to Two IF you could get into the schedule? (No opt issues in Scotland - Sunday Politics and Scotland Sunday Politics could both run on Two)

Of course. Apologies. Clearly I'm being distracted by the tennis . . .

I absolutely shouldn't do this for a living.

According to Online Sunday Politics Scotland dropped completely. Could of course be reinstated later.
