Proof BBC Glasgow does not care for old pres.

I think your being a bit unfair in that remake, The point is they're the only ones not locally participating in the strand, once again ther was no branded Slide.

Today, just now, Just like yesterday there was NO Afternoon classics slide. After ready steady cook it went straight into a local promo for a new one off comedy on Sunday, then a promo for the CIN swing bee promo , but then we got the NETWORK ident with a CA from Glasgow but not the same script, ir shorter saying


Missing out "aren't we all"

On the network we got 1979 slides, then CIN swing bee promo the same as Blue 1974 ident
On Wales its the 1991 slide then CIN swing bee promo the same as Orange 1979 ident
On Ni its the same 70s outside slide then CIN swing bee promo then firecrack 1997 ident

Whilst for us it's nice to see retro presentation, if BBC Scotland don't take part in showing things like an afternoon classics slide I think it's unfair to declare they 'do not care for old pres'. They ARE showing old presentation, just they haven't used the afternoon classics slide, which is not as much of a travesty as you make out.

If you are that upset, watch one of the other nations which are showing it! Not sure why this needed it's own thread if it's just a moan about not showing a slide...

I get the feeling people are misreading or misjudging what I'm trying to get across. I've also pointed out more than once which people continue to seem to fail to pick up on the points.

Glasgow are not locally participating in the strand, or anything else. Most of the time Glasgow lets Network deal with it. I think its more to do with the fact Glasgow doesn't have time to deal with BBC2, nearly all the junctions are from the network bar local opt outs. I dare say someone at networked has told them off for not use an old pres into the Afternoon classics.

It's not the fact I'm overly upset about this, but its been 5 years since a new local ident appeared, and it was also the same time when the current front broad appeared for the idents.

It seems some how some has taken note of the lack of pe.. Joining in with the fun to say at least. Its not much but I will happily take this and run. I know we wont get any branded "Scottish" ident or slides but the slide from this afternoon is good enough for me
