Do you really think that the tele voting and in particular app/SMS voting is that secure? I'm still amazed that the EBU continue with SMS (the BBC absolutely refuse to use it - much to the EBU's apparent annoyance) It has been demonstrably proven to be so unreliable in the UK - are we unique? (The app voting on some platforms just sent an SMS...)
I think it's bloc voting rather than political voting that caused the juries to return. There's nothing political about Sweden/Norway/Denmark voting for each other - they just have more common cultural references.
Picking up from a few months ago here (that logo is hideous BTW) but I believe if any corruption is to occur it is far more likely to occur on a small jury than it is on a national vote.
The UK's ditching of SMS voting is ridiculous - we're the only country in the world to have ditched it and all it was down to is some SMS votes not being delivered on time, which for anyone who has owned a mobile at New Year that's a likely outcome anyway. Sadly the mobile companies completely got away with that one and TV seemed to be forced to accept the responsibility, even though they're no more liable for when they receive text entries than they are for when they receive mail in the post. All it needed was a simple additional disclaimer that no votes "made or received" after the closing point would be counted but may still be charged. They essentially had to add two words to the already lengthy disclaimers rather than scrap the voting completely.
A shame they didn't take the opportunity to scrap the juries again - they're not needed as the political argument simply isn't valid.

In terms of the logo I agree it doesn't look much right now. But I'm sure it'll look far better in motion on screen. I remember thinking the same about the 2010 logo, which turned out to look lovely when animated.

Don't like it. Obviously saving something powerful for 2015, regardless of who wins!

Here's something.
I'm guessing that any group that decides to name themselves 'joinus' or '#joinus' would be able to enter at the national heat stage, but then get themselves renamed (by force from EBU/DR) by the time they roll up in Copehagen next year?

Who is?
The EBU and it's graphic designers. It's the 50th in 2015.

But isn't it down to the host broadcaster, who won't be working on the assumption that they are hosting it the following the year?
