Surely the live episode was Corrie's 50th (and 40th) rather than ITV's?

Shame Central News South isn't still around...they did some superb features for the 50th!

Wonder if Gameshow Marathon will make a comeback!

Well that is shock we got to see a new doctor in corrie and inside the Medical practise.

This doctor has appeared many times. I remember seeing her speaking to David and Kylie about Max's behaviour a few months ago.

Yet more bad subtitling on Corrie:

What Alya said to Leanne: "Thanks for not saying anything before when you saw me with Gary."
What the subtitles said: "Thanks for not saying anything before when I saw you with Gary."

That could leave some viewers scratching their heads.

Are Compare the Meerkat still going to sponsor Coronation Street after they retired one of their characters in the sponsor adverts?

Why would they stop sponsoring just because baby Oleg has stayed in Africa?
Its just another part of the Meerkat story which will soon feature in the corrie bumpers i'm guessing.

Compair the market was sponsoring Corry long before orleg came on the scene

Oleg joined the "family" on December 25, 2013. So has lasted exactly 12 months.

I'm not sure why this discussion is taking place.

Clearly the Meerkat trials and tribulations are more interesting than the actual programme at the moment. It's testament to how aware people are of their sponsorship, at least.
