BBC Yorkshire's quasi-regional programme about the Pennine Way (it was shown across the north of England originally) is getting a repeat showing on BBC Two.
I thought programmes made in regional centres (rather than Network Production Centres) usually got re-edited with a BBC English Regions endcap, but this one is going out with the original dodgy BBC Production (sic) Yorkshire one.
Of course they possibly realised that it's only a few anoraks who notice such things and it's not worth spending money on the re-edit.
Not sure if I like that or not. If anything, the graphic would have looked better bottom centre than top left, and could have re-animated to go to a new style end board. Seems like only a half-done job.
It's great to see Silk back on network as a personal favourite but seems a strange one when they were originally against bringing any of the 1991 artsy style classics back in favour of more "action" idents from the era. Any plans of a few more to return e.g Excalibur?
hmm, should anything be read into that "BBC Two / 2" logo, is it just a throwaway animation for online or something imminent? Because if there's one thing BBC Two does not need, it's more logos.
Re Silk - I think someone realised they were severely lacking in sombre options (Swan, Paint Pot). Would be lovely to see the likes of Excalibur and Wave on network, but they have 10 in rotation now and may consider that adequate.

The inconsistency of the BBC's branding in recent times should answer your question.
