That isn't news. We knew the BBC Trust had not green lit the idea yet.

Of course we knew it wasn't for certain, and many still don't believe it will happen. But these are significant words because someone who's part of that decision making process is questioning it publicly for the first time. Also the majority of young people just think "BBC Three is closing down" and don't understand the process that is taking place, so it's at least worth Digital Spy posting the article as I'd say that audience is in general probably a lot less knowledgable when it comes to how these BBC decisions work.

There hasn't actually been an official announcement, but if they don't find other ways of saving money, they will probably be left without a choice. BBC Four has LOADS of viewers, apparently, which is quite surprising, because their target age group doesn't usually stay awake until 4am to watch documentaries.

Has anyone else noticed the screen going blank on BBC Three during the credits on certain programmes, when the promotion margin appears and the announcer speaks?

They were making a grand mess of 60 Seconds at 9pm. They cut to the last 5 seconds of a bulletin, jumped into a couple of trailers, went back to the full 60 Seconds which got interrupted by a trailer, and ended up with a blank screen after the bulletin finished.

Co-presenting R1's Big Weekend must have been too much for Jen!

It'll be interesting to see if BBC2 keep the current format of the 30 min premiere, I'm guessing in the 10pm slot pre Newsnight without the stand-up, with 'Extra' repeated in an late night slot with the stand-up.
