I hope Jon gets a new green screen as well, and they don't have him doing the weather in front of a plasma.

The way they have done those screens looks half arsed, if they could afford full height screens, they should have revised the design.

Looks like some to the dodgy windows the first generation of corporate BBC studios many regions had.

It just looks like they've got the video feed in letterbox mode to me.

I'm sorry, but this looks shocking, I hope they don't go for that backdrop: http://exposure2015.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/IMG_5090-320x240.jpg

I'm starting to think, this studio might look better with a printed backdrop...

Wait until it's on-screen.

Why have they gone for the National backdrop? Granada and Wales haven't, maybe they're just trying things out?

From that image it looks like a full height desk, instead of coffee tables!

Is that not a image from when they were setting up the ITV Cymru Wales studio? The desk in the Wales set is noticeably taller than the London desk, and I think they've used the newsroom backdrop when they've done a weekend bulletin or something standing up next to one of the screens.

On Calendar last night they didn't seem that convinced that they'd be in the new set on Tuesday, so it might be taking longer than expected.

Considering the date of March 2015 in the URL of that image, I would be inclined to agree with you.

I'd love to know what the regional heads of news and workers thinks of these designs that they get forced with. I wonder if they are ever met with any resistance?

I think it would look good if they set it up with either a pre recorded or live video feed. I can't stand the letter boxed video.

Why, what did they say?
