Since this forum is closing soon I just wanted to talk about how I've never really given European presentation of news much thought until this year and now I've decided that I love the TF1 news theme, and the TG1 news theme (both pretty iconic in their full-pomposity versions) and I've decided that everyone just looks like they use tacky generic After Effects templates.

90s NOS has a good look and theme too

Weird, it went to tone audio about an hour or two ago and I wondered what was happening. Before it had an actual RUV logo and now it's RUV.is with the extra info top right. Path change?

Sounds like Entercom have given 1010 WINS a complete new look to their imaging. After Entercom took over from CBS Radio, they gave the station updated imaging of their previous package.

Personally, I think they've wrecked it. The previous version was so iconic, and they've gone and thrown it away.

They've actually updated it a couple of times since, but they've kept the main tune.




And a quick idea if you find yourself a bit bored, I'd recommend both downloading the MotionMixes demo which will allow you to play about with the old 1010 WINS TOTH sequence, and watching Larry Mullins presenting here (but maybe watch it through VLC with the video flipped):

They've just done a sweep around and showed the setup of the webcam. The webcam is connected to a microwave link, all of which is powered by an impressive solar array which provides working power and battery backup for overnight, so it's all a self contained system.
