Fulwood briefly plied her trade twice in the United States, doing so at KTVV-TV (now known as KXAN) in Austin, Texas. The first time was a 'news anchor exchange' between her and Tonia Cooke. This was due to the fact Austin and Adelaide are sister cities and were celebrating their sesquicentennial. Fulwood proved to be popular and was brought back a second time, this time co-anchoring with Cooke.
Last year, a different kind of an anchor exchange took place in Swizerland. SRF, the public service broadcaster serving the German-speaking part of Switzerland, and RSI, the PSB for the Italian-speaking part of the country, decided to switch roles for a day. RSI produced a German-language newscast for SRF, and SRF produced its news in Italian for RSI. (Many Swiss are multilingual, which made this experiment possible.)
