The barker is back! Very Happy She will not be presenting News at 5.30 til March however.

As regards to Ali she has also presented the late London bulletin too. She is just one of the presenters covering staff absences like Faye Barker's, Charlene White-who now has a more prominent role on LT and Alexandra who had stopped doing early mornings earlier this month and has now gone on maternity leave.

So I assume it will still be a rooster of newscasters for the 5:30 until Faye takes it up again in march. Will Faye be presenting the Late Bulletin on LT or will she be sticking to the sunday stuff?. Don't rellay rate Ali as a news presenter and what has happened to Sangeeta also as I said last night were is Sue Saville?.

I would imagine so, atm she will only be presenting at weekends. Charlene will continue to present some morning bulletins but as she now regularly presents and reports on LT her role on the News at 5.30 would be minimal.

It will probably be a roster like we have been seeing now for a few weeks and we might see Richard Pallot pop up a few more times who knows. The morning news isnt short of presenters what with Sian Jones and Rachel McTavish turning up recently, and then there is always Sascha Williams and Steve Clamp too.

Sangeeta is still around and as a matter of fact presented LT yesterday evening, as to why she hasn't presented the news at 5.30 I am unaware but I would imagine it is just the way the staff roster has worked out.

As regards to Sue Saville she is probably still around, last time I saw her was strangely on a London late on a Friday evening a few weeks back.

Don't they normally rotate the weekends, so Jasmine Lowson does a weekend of lunchtime national, then LT, and the following week it's been a mix of ITN staffers or freelancers? The normally freelance weekend could be Faye Barker from two weeks time?

Jasmine Lowson never does a lunchtime, and usually only presents the Saturday LT on the odd occasion. The Saturday lunchtime bulletin is usually presented by the Saturday national presenter or one of the morning news team. LT presenter usually doesn't come into contact with ITV News. On Sunday however the lunchtime is presented by the LT presenter which consists of Charlene White, Alexandra Hill (now on maternity leave) and Matt Teale. Faye Barker will now be added to the list and it is likely she will present in two weeks time or even next week.

So she is effectively replacing Katie's old lunchtime shifts and Nina's weekend ones, spending the rest of her time reporting for News at Ten?

Well when Alex Forrest comes back they could keep Libby on and move Her, Lucy or Chris in to the Ecconomics role.

I'd rather Chris remains as he is, he'd make a fantastic Political Editor when (if?!) Tom Bradby decides to step down. Libby Wiener is one of those old stalwarts who are able to cope with whatever story is given to them but she's great as a political correspondent. I would say the same for Alex Forrest (one of the best younger reporters - up there with Chris, Lucy Manning, Damon Green etc.) but who knows, she may make a good economics editor. But we'll see what the decision is soon. That could go either way: how popular was the decision (on here) to place Keir Simmons as UK editor? He doesn't really win my vote...!

Worst decision ever, Daisy McCandrews presenting style is appalling, an excellent reporting but sitting behind a desk isn't utilising her to the full
