Is there any chance you could start up a blog about helicopters? I can't help but think a forum should have an element of discussion to it, which this thread is lacking since the last page or so has basically just been you posting...

Well, there have been pages in the "International News Presentation" thread that have essentially contained just my posts. If this forum has decided that contributions from non-UK members are not welcome, please just say so. I will be happy to oblige (as will Mouseboy33 I'm sure).

I think bringing nationality into it is completely uncalled for, as is suggesting some sort of Xenophobia being found amongst Forumers - it's certainly something I didn't mention in my post. My post was purely from the point of view of how past pages of this thread just being posts by one user, and I would have made the post irrespective of who the user is or where they come from! I can assure you I have taken as much issue with barcode posting about the adverts shown on STV and the timings of them.

Remind me, who brought nationality into all this yesterday? I quote: "...it still ends up being the whole of TV Forum's British membership being told that they're wrong by WW Update and Mouseboy." And this wasn't the first time such nationality-baiting comments have been made on this forum.

But guess what? I can read between the lines -- and I can take a hint.

I have no idea who made those comments, but it wasn't me and it's unfair to apply the mentality of one poster to every other British member. I suspect you've selectively quoted the original statement, to make it sound like there's a culture of Xenophobia on the forum, because it simply isn't true. I'm not taking issue with mouseboy's helicopter posts because he's American, I take issue because he's the only one making the posts, and effectively having a conversation with himself. Likewise, I imagine other members take issue with his posts about how great American local TV is because they don't think he's considering that the UK is a different kind of market to the US, and how just because it works there it doesn't mean it will work here. I don't think any members have an issue with mouseboy or yourself because of nationality (I didn't anyone had a problem with you in the first place).

How do you know if Im American or where I was born?
You can choose to read the thread or comment as some others have done. Or you can choose not click on a thread that doesn't interest you. Amazing thing choice...it gives you options. And I have never said "how great American local TV is " . Dont visit your assumptions or insecurities on another person. Its an open forum and I choose to state my opinions, or criticize what I see, just like you .... Critique Rolling Eyes. Just because you dont seem to like a global viewpoint that's your issue not mine. Enjoy your day.

I'll back Mouseboy up here and say that I also post in this thread occasionally, I'm fascinated with American helicopter TV coverage and watch all the chases etc. I find it interesting how much they are used over there and hardly ever over here.

A cultural thing, I imagine.

Can we guess if you are? My guess is that you live in Chicago, and that you were born in the reception of the hotel that was used as the exterior for Diagnosis Murder, delivered by Dick Van Dyke dressed as Dr Mark Sloan.
