Enough about time zones. It seems to me that the NC is increasingly simulcasting WN. Maybe to cut costs? It's worth noting that the BBC has top make cuts in money for NC.

Yes guys, billy something has spoken, hush up!

I don't think showing Outside Source a few times (they'd shown it on the NC before as well, at some point earlier this year) shows that the News Channel is 'increasingly simulcasting WN'. They have shown a few WN programmes a couple of times - I can vaguely remember them showing World Have Your Say once, they threw over to World for the announcement of the death of Nelson Mandela and then they've also shown Outside Source a few times as mentioned previously. This is but a handful of times over the course of around a year. I don't think it's showing an increasing trend of anything - Outside Source has been shown because of breaking news around 6pm, with the BBC News at 6 unable to dedicate coverage to it, meaning showing whatever World are showing will give better breaking coverage to those who want it than the 6 could, whilst the WHYS being shown was because David Cameron was on it, so it was relevant to domestic viewers, and World being thrown to for the announcement of Mandela's death was probably because the NC were setting themselves up for a debate about something like the Autumn statement and had began that, so they weren't entirely set-up for it.

So yes, hardly an increasing number of simulcasts.

Perhaps the BBC has told the presenters that they need to be more flexible because there are less relief presenters.

Told you! The BBC is making the presenters work harder because they're short of relief presenters!

Erm, do you work for the Daily Mail or something, because this reads like something they would write.
