Jeremy Vine's Virtual Reality just gets better and better.
Was that an ironic comment as his feet are masked out?
Yes, though the VR is actually quite impressive - especially the seamless way it's been integrated into the studio - quite a lot better than last time round.
EDIT: It did seem slightly jittery, as Asa mentioned, but it has been much worse on previous occasions. I think it's more noticeable with such close-up shots, and with a map.
I assume the balcony on the left is the Andrew Neil/ Old Paxman interview area. With Fiona Bruce at the Sunderland Count. I assume the role of newsreader is gone from election night.
Love that the stairs is in the NBH style too.
This shot is certainly an improvement from 2014 and 2010, and looks really good. Whether it is intentional or just the lights spilling onto the green screen, the reflection of the lights on the VR set, and the way the grid lines are clearer in the line of the light and darker elsewhere looks quite superb.

I think it's a case of the VR equipment handling light spill better than previously - presumably it also means slightly nicer shadows under Jeremy Vine's feet. Indeed, the choice of a black backdrop is probably a sign of the confidence they have in the quality of the key.
