In my opinion that is probably the best Daybreak Studio Mock on here Smile I honestly can't fault it. Love to see the photos as it was in creation.

One of the better Daybreak mocks i've seen on here!

You've carefully studied the set as well, a bit like how i did my Big Breakfast house re-creation.

I would like to see this properly rendered if you can. It looks promising!

That is actually pretty good! Very accurate! Very Happy

Very long post ahead...

Just a couple of minor points that I notice first... (purely to satisfy my OCD)

- There seems to be a bit more space in your one. Perhaps decrease the space around that area and decrease the size of the wooden platform
- Perhaps get a nicer brick texture from the internet, the actual one has a distressed rustic feel and the actual bricks are bigger too
- You seem to be missing that sideboard with the orange lamp on the far right of the picture I've posted above.
- The nicest thing about the daybreak presentation is the sofa IMO - look at the actual seat/cushion - it is nice and big whereas yours looks a bit flat and uncomfortable, same goes for the armrests. The actual ones are nice and wide and not much higher than the cushion.
- Add some nice little cushions to the sofa to make it look more homely.
- Make the grey floor lighter.
- The actual walls are a bit brighter and a more insipid yellow than yours - this could be improved as well when you render it.
- You can soften edges in SketchUp and you can make the edges of something curved.
- You can add a carpet texture to the rug - it'll look better

Moving on
*
http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/media/daybreak/september2012/lorraine/studio23.jpg
- Use the same wood texture that you use for the daybreak area for both the Lorraine floor and coffee table
- The white bit that goes around the coffee table is very different
- The actual wood platform is smaller than yours, with the coffee table aligned right in the centre
- Add the rug
- Soften edges of the armchair and sofa
- Also, the platform is circular, so you can soften the edge of that platform, making circular, not an 18-sided (or whatever) polygon

Next

- The actual one is panelled, as supposed to 2 big screens
- It also has a wooden platform inside it

And Finally
*
http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/media/daybreak/september2012/15.jpg
- The actual corner on the right hand side is more curved
- There's a little bit of black glass in the middle of the actual one

Apologies if things don't make sense - It's late (or early rather)

All in all its really good. You have a good eye for detail (apart from those things that I mentioned Wink )

And it beats the crap out of the minecraft thing that you did!

Firstly thank you for your comments! I am going to upload photographs with the things that needed changing. I will also see if I can get it rendered.

Wow, I don't know how I managed to make the inside of the table cream, must of been the picture I was looking at. I will get that sorted!

The corner of the table or?

Thanks for the feedback, didn't know you could soften edges, quite new to SketchUp. Also thanks for comparing the pictures, its helped!

I am pleasantly suprised you are capable of something like this, considering you Minecraft mock. You have paid good attention to detail, however you need to add the stripey wallpaper to the right of the main set. This does need a render, so that is something you should look at... Overall, well done!

I was also surprised! And I think if you pay attention to some of the comments given and remedy the small niggles this will look perfect. I suggest having a look around to sort your render engine out!

I have sorted the things that needed sorted, and rendered too. I have updated my post above with Version 1 and 2 for comparison. I

This is what people should be aiming for when making set mocks. It's clear you've spent some time and effort on it, for which you should be applauded.
